Sesame seeds and tahini are considered a more advanced SCD food. Please post share variations you try! These taste a bit like snickerdoodles.
The inspiration for this comes from Glen's Chocolate Sauce. You will need 1/2 cup + 2tbsp of this sauce for the spread. I have altered the recipe ingredient amounts just slightly and redid the directions. Here are the nutrition facts for both recipes: Here is my twist:
Here is my Thanksgiving Dinner 2018 menu. I've included a bonus side just in case you are missing mashed potatoes (not pictured in the above image). Oil Poached Turkey Cutlets I do not have a recipe for the sauce on my turkey pictured above. I combined white truffle oil, Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayo, dried… Continue reading Thanksgiving Dinner 2018
This post is a combination of recipes that ended up working really well together. I wanted to try a "naked" cake frosting technique, so excuse the aesthetics above as this is still a work in progress. Below are the links to each recipe, my tweaks, and my reviews. I am sure I will post alterations to this at a later date, but for now: enjoy! Notes: B I used primal kitchen avocado mayo and whole milk dripped/strained yogurt. If… Continue reading Ranch Dressing
It's been awhile since I've posted, so I figured I would condense a few meal ideas into one entry. Some of these are simply links to the recipes I used while others are recipes I created myself. The inspiration for this sauce comes from duck sauce. It's not quite the same, but it does give you the sweet compliment to spicy mustard. I think that a proper duck sauce could be made using apricots and oranges in some fashion. Unfortunately, I cannot eat apricots.
I really needed protein to help with a little mini-flare (super mild) and was craving some authentic fried meatballs. I also didn't want to introduce eggs again while flaring as I am a tad reactive to them (higher end of the LEAP scale). I decided to try it with banana and it worked great! I'll… Continue reading Eggless Baked Meatballs
